Television and Home Theater

I have a 2 year old RCA F36650 TV (36" Conventional type). It started to go on and then off by itself. Now it does this every few seconds. On... off... constantly. Is it junk? or is there a reasonable fix ?

2-13-2006 Today I threw it away. Junk. No more RCA for me ..
I try to buy American but, SONY for me now............

HP 4240 PLasma TV. Denon receiver and DVD. Have component video and sound cables connected correctly. Have DVD sound but TV screen on YPBR says no input or mode not supported. Have tried connecting cable directly to TV bypassing receiver with no success.
There is video if the actual cable antenna is connected to DVD and then to TV.
Also have video using old composite cable but picture would disappear during playing of movie.
THought the hi tech cables would resolve.

My zenith 35 inch tv vertical size decided to shrink about 5 inches while we were away on a month long trip. the tv was unplugged from ac and antenna connections. is this caused by a capacitor changing values on the vertical output board ? is it worth doing a check of all the parts or getting a replacement from tvparts.com and just swapping boards.

ps: i have been in electronics about 40 years in the amateur radio field and two-way radio service..
