Television and Home Theater

My plasma went weird last night. The picture turned into an array of colorful vertical lines. I've call Panasonic to see if they've seen anything like this. None of the technicians I've spoke with have, so they're sending someone out to check on it. Maybe someone in one of these forums has.

I have a Philips 27 inch tv that has no picture or sound. When I plug it in, I hear a rapid beeping sound. It seems to be coming from the largest part on the circuit board, a yellow cylinder with copper tape around it. The sound slows down and stops when I unplug the tv. The serial number is 27PT543S37A. Can I fix this?

We have aSony trinitron KV-32TW78 manufactured on March 1994. Never had a problem with it until today! We were watching tv, and the power on the tv totally died. HELP!! We bought this tv in May 1994.
