Television and Home Theater

The picture on my television is good then it changes like there is bad reception, the picture gets distorted. Seems to have to do with color changes on the tube. Does anyone have any helpful tips to repair this. Also when turning off television it takes 30 seconds or so to shut off. any help would be apprciated. Sentimental television so it is kind of hard to throw away.

I have a NEC VT440K LCD PROJECTOR THAT SHOWS NO SIGN OF LIFE WHEN PLUGGED IN, INTERNAL FUSE OK,5volts AT POWER SWITCH BUT NO STANDBY OR POWER LIGHTS ON,CAN ANYONE HELP?

I have a problem with my screen shifting to the right. I have a one inch border on the left side of my screen and the station logos are cut off on the right side. I have tried to unplug the the tv and reset it. This has worked once but eventually I am having the same problem. I get this problem when I have it on Theater Screen 1 and when I have it set on regular screen, the one inch border is a black line on the left part of my screen and it cuts the picture. Is there anything I can do to correct this?
