Sony KFE42A10

I have the oppurtunity to purchase a Sony KFE42A10.

Here is the question. Should this unit be easily repairable? Suppose to be only a burnt bulb but the unit has been for sale for awhile now.

I have read threads about this unit and it dosen't get very high praise. They seem to be ticking maintenance bombs. As if they are down more than up.

It is suppose to be putting a blink code of 80 green then 1 red and then turns off. According to the owner.

sony klv-32MI HDMI switches off

My 5 yr old Sony KLV-32MI LCD TV displays a picture for about 5 seconds and then goes into blank screen static (similar to what you get when tuning between channels) whenever an HDMI source is selected. Component and RF inputs are not affected.

I tried different sources (cable box / Oppo DVD player / LG Blu Ray player) using several HDMI cables with no results.

Then I replaced the P board (where the HDMI connection is), which made no difference.

MITSUBISHI WS-55813

I HAVE A MITSUBISHI WS-55813 WITH THE SAME BLINKING GREEN LIGHT PROBLEM.  IF YOU COULD SEND ME THE MANUAL AND INSTRUCTIONS, ON HOW TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM IT WOULD BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.  MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS [email protected].

 THANKS IN ADVANCE

MITSUBISHI DLP CH. V33 BLINKING GREEN LIGHT

I have a  DLP Mitsubishi WD-65731 (Chassis v33) with the dreaded blinking green light.

I have seen a lot here about the v26 chassis and swollen caps but nothing about the v33.

My unit has no swollen caps on the DM or power supply boards and all the standby

voltages appear to be in order. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
