a question for Larry Dillon (you seem the GURU)
my KV-34HS510 , chassis DA4, mfg Dec2003, has quit again
first time was in warranty, replaced 'D' board, which lasted 3-4 years
a year ago, toasted again, same symptoms
plug it in, 7 rapid blinks (at 3 or 4 the memory slot led blinks), then settles in to repeating 6 blinks
I want to replace the ICs as you've described, my buddy is long time tech, but his bad back has made me reluctant to ask him to look at this behemoth
I can pull the board, however, and get some sockets/ICs, if you think that will do me good
are the MCZ3001'DB' the latest/greatest? where is best source?

This forum is fantastic! Four years ago my big Sony blinked 9 times and Larry's posts nailed the solution. Two tiny diodes fixed it. I also found the service manual thru this forum.
Last month it blinked 10 times. I replaced IC8005 per the manual, did not help. Another poster said to replace IC8002 and now it works again. You guys saved another TV from the trash heap. Thank you!
