Hello all. I'm new to the tv world and have learned alot through repairing and maintenance of my rptv. It's a phillips 60 inch.
So no I need some help. I got the convergence and picture set up pretty bearable, but I decided to go the extra step and change my fluid. The change went fine, great picture and no problems.... until now.
I started my tv up this evening and noticed the green was very fuzzy and out of whack. I tried to set convergence since I recently wheeled it around the basement, but no help. I walked around to the back and heard hissing. My first thought was a leak from the fluid change just arose. I took the tv panels off the back and plugged it back in. After warming up, I found my problem.
The little block with 6 knobs you use to adjust focus has what appears to be a small pinhole at the top left corner, above the red adjustments. It looks like its spraying blue fluid of some kind, but I suspect its an electrical arc???
Is this a common problem? I need to know how this works so I can fix it. Is it something I can just put a sealant on and forget about or is an electrical issue?
Thanks for your help in advance.
