Hey there. I have been on this site and fixed a tv similar to this one. The one i repaired was a kp46wt510 i think. Anyways i still have this tv and is working great. However i bought another one (kp51ws520)out of the paper knowing i can fix it just need a place to start looking. Havent really messed with it to much but the problem with this set is it comes on No Picture, Has sound but does not post a picture. Any clues on where to start at would b very helpful. I would think its probably something to do with the power supply for the convergence somewhere on the D board. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope your out there Larry Dillon. Lol.. You helped me fix the other one i have. Thanks. Pete
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, IF ANYONE CAN HELP THE GUY ABOVE PLEASE FOWARD YOUR
SOLUTION TO ME ALSO IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, THANKS MIKE
Do you get a blink code on the front? I had one (5 blink IIRC) and it required no parts to repair, rather a simple adjustment - mine was a different chasis (57") but here is a free bump... good luck.
hey bobbyz just wandering what ur adjustment was that you made. i think i recall the tv blinking 5 and 10. im hinting to having to replace the d board but need to know where i can find it at a reasonable price. if you can help me or know something about this then that would be great. thanks for the reply hope to talk shortly. i need to fix this thing. lol..
As I mentioned, I think I have a different chassis - mine is the Sony 57". IIRC, I took off the front speaker covers and on the right hand side was a panel I removed exposing the color convergence adjustments. My problem was the picture would blink - eventually got to the point I could not watch the set. I will try to find a link to the suggested method to adjust it. I too thought I needed to replace a board - after completely dis-assembling it and trying to read the circuit board, I was ready to give up. I contacted (service magic) to get some quotes - one gentleman was kind enough to explain over the phone that many times it is a simple adjustment fix - I then researched that and found the details and it worked!
THANKS ANY INFO IS GREATLY APPRECIATED, I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO FIX IT MYSELF, THANKS AGAIN BOBBYZ, MIKE
