my philips went dead no-picture no sound chirpping noise inside chassie didnt find any bad fuses no fluid leaks no- arking from flyback no burnt marks on boards i did find two burnted 6.8oms resistors on ssb board removed board removed the ic - chips then reinstalled ssb board got a fuzzy picture &the sound with no chirpping noise replaced the ic-chips & the 12 6.8 oms resistors w/ OEM parts adjusted red- blue & both multipoint ajustments are ok but the color now looks like there,s a blueish - red haze to picture trying to adjust the picture menu adjustments doesn,t seem to help ? last year had promblem with blue - convergence promblem never lost picture or sound just warped picture top & bottom replaced the ic - chips & the 12 resistors made the convergence adjustments all was great , the ic- chips were aftermarkets come to find out, didnt last as long as i hoped . any ideas
have you checked the crt's for coolant contamination?

haven,t checked tv yet how many once,s of coolant do the crt,s hold and is it one or all that need fluid to be changed also about how long does it take about ? prelco electronic has 3 12once bottles for 24.00 rufflee . thanks alnp i also printed the info changing the coolant the thread you told me about.
To check if the coolant/fluid is your problem:
Unplug power, take off the front screen assembly, watching for connected wires, or remove the upper back cover.
Look into the crt's with a flashlight, the red crt should be your reference point, red fluid usually does not get cloudy. You should be able to see thru the coolant to the texture on the crt tube.
Then look into the blue and green lenses at the crt's, if their fluid is cloudy or murky you need to change their fluid.
Usually the green and blue fluid need changing, the red is ok.
Get 1 bottle of fluid per tube, I think the tubes hold about 12+ oz each.
I got mine at Suburban Electronics (part FC-16). You can buy the rtv silicone and denatured alcohol (you may be able to substitute rubbing alcohol) locally.
Somewhere on the web there is a tutorial with pictures of the procedure.
Do one tube at a time, it will take several hours per tube min. The hardest part will be cleaning the crud off.

i took the upper cover off and the crt,s dont look cloudy , also tried adjusting the color & focus w/ the help from a neighbor didn,t help it just made the convergence settings out of wack, we reset the color & focus back were they were, i took a digital picture of the tv but unsure how to add it to this post, so you can see what i mean, is it possable there could be a something of a resistor or dioade issue ? if try to go into the picture menu to adjust the settings the color & tint does,nt change anything , didn,t have this promblem last year when i had the blue convergence promblem replaced the 2 ic-chips &the 12 resistors and adjusted the convergence adjustments the tv was back to normal no color issue,s i,m stumped ?
last night couldn,t sleep so i took the upper cover back off and adjusted the colors down a little while i playied my grandson,s movie cars and would pause the movie when get sceen,s with the red-blue-green color,s and it worked out ok seen the movie enough times he,s a nascarfan also at 4yrs old life is good . thanks alnp the crt,s are clear for now.
Good job figuring it out, maybe those focus and screen controls on the focus block were bumped taking the chassis out.
You also have mechanical focus, the crt lens tops adjust (the wingnuts).
If color and tint adjustments won't work, check if you are using RGB input, try another input.
