I have a Sony 32" TV model KV-32S45(1999). Kids were watching and picture just shut down. We have sound but no picture. A few smacks on the set brought it back to life for a few hours and now that doesn't work. The standby light when turned on keeps flashing with no code sequence. Money is short and when the TV picture is on it looks great. I would like to keep this set. Please help
Try to first resolder the horizontal driver transformer, this is a very common problem. If you do not understand what I am saying you should have a pro look at it then for you. or could be a bad solder connction on the main board somewhere, but hitting a set to make it work will only make the problem worse.
