blinking light

help!   my mitsubishi wb-52525 has the blinking light syndrome.  started out freezing up once in a while, then got more and more frequent when shutting off and starting.we could always unplug and reconnect and the set would start, now it wont and the green light is blinking away.... please help--i dont think the repair man i called knows much!
