I have a 55P950217 about 5 years old. The convergence chips were replaced 4 months ago but now another problem has come up. It started with some distortion or static on the left speaker. I found the speaker cable resting on one of the boards. I routed it back to its correct position (I took pictures of the connections and wires before it was taken to the repair shop). A few weeks later the other speaker starting doing the same thing but I could not find a cause so the speaker was just disconnected. Now the inputs are changing. I did disconnect the LED/Keyboard PCB but it did not change the problem. I have a manual but the schematics are not so good. I also do not have a reliable repairman. The convergence issue I mentioned above took 4 months.
I am wondering if I have 1 issue or a few. Like a cap spiking the power causing the input changing and sound issues?
I have an electronics background (medical imaging) but I am not a TV repairman. Any comments are welcomed.
