Sanyo Power Supply chatter

Hello fellow members. I am new at this so please bear with me. I have a Sanyo 25" TV that is experiencing problems in the power supply. The model number is DS25390. The problem with it is the relay in the power supply chatters continuously when powered on. My question is where on the net can I find a schematic for this unit or maybe someone has had the same problem. Thanks,

I have the same problem with my DS25390.  Did you ever figure out how to fix it?  Thanks, Scott

Hey Scott,

Hey Scott,

I did figure out the problem with the power supply. It was the large 470 microfarad/200v filter capacitor. It was not filtering the DC output on the 12v output causing the motor-boat sound in the audio. Hope this helps someone else.

Thanks Erichardson...One questions. Was your "noise" heard through the speakers or directly from the relay.  Mine is a mechanical bussing/vibrating "noise" from the relay, it's oscillating. The audio coming out of the speaker is fine. Is this the same issue you had?  Thanks again....Scott

Actually the motor-boat sound

Actually the motor-boat sound was coming out of the speakers. (It was riding on the audio but was not affected by the volume control) In my case it was also making the relay in the power supply oscillate.  If you would check the 12v DC output at the positive terminal of the 470/200v cap and find any ac there, I would suspect that it is bad. Any ac at this point will cause the 12v relay to oscillate. Hope this helps. Erichardson
