I have a 52" HCL552W rear projection TV that was purchased in 2002. Recently, the picture and sound will just turn off and the red indicator light on the front will begin to blink. You can not turn the TV back on via remote or TV. I have it plugged into a surge protector and the only way I can get it to unfreeze so I can turn it back on is by turning off the surge protector and turning it back on.
Once I have done this it will come back on but only for a few minutes. If we leave it off for a day or so, it will turn back on and work for a few hours then shut off again. Does anyone know what this could be or how we can fix this?
