Sony KP43T20 Blue Screen then turns off automatically

Hi, My Sony KP43T20 turns on only to have a blue screen (with sound) appear then turn off seconds later.

When adjusting the colours I find that when turning the blue off, it leads to the red and green projectors flickering violently as the TV shuts down.

All 3 projectors are projecting light, but only the Blue seems to be visible - any suggestions?

Ok you need to troubleshoot

Ok you need to troubleshoot this, swap the blue and red neck modules around, if it still goes blue you have a bad crt, if not, you have a problem with the neck module most likely, and the main culprit is the video driver ic. but do the switch first so your problem can be narrowed down, the flickering may be due to the akb circuit turning on and off, noticing the un balanced cathode current. The flickering (as far as i can tell at this point) is not a problem.

Alright, so I switched the

Alright, so I switched the modules around - i hope it did it right though. I mean, i disconnected the blue, and there was no blue when i turned it on. Then I switched it with the red and it still showed up blue.

Also, there are 8 blinks. And upon research it means:

Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code. Check IC406 audio amp, PS401, and 402. On some projection models of Sony TV sets, this code means that T8005 (flyback transformer), or the associative components in the high voltage circuits are defective on the D board.

Now, the audio still works so i'm assuming it's my D board - but what is that? Thanks again

ok, if you switched the neck

ok, if you switched the neck module with the red, and put the red on the blue, and blue on the red, and the picture was still blue, then you have bad blue crt.
