transistor problem

I've got an RCA stereo with no power. I've traced it to a transistor that is blown i think due to a power surege. the transistor is marked ST2sC and I can't seem to find one. does anyone know any replacement, cross-referenced suitable replacements, anything. The full number on the the transistor is:

ST2SC

3203Y

S1B

 Thanks.

It's an RCA stereo, model RS2625B, component Q701.

Thanks

That is a 2SC3203y Subs to an ECG 382. It is an NPN audio driver transistor. There is usually a PNP that goes with this transistor as well. I would certainly make sure the PNP transistor and any other drivers around the blown transistor are not shorted or leaky. It is always better to use exact replacement parts but here is the ECG spec sheet is available HERE. Enter the original number of 2SC3203Y on a search on-line and you will get a ton of places to buy it from. Good Luck
