Samsung DLP TV Power Problem

I have a Samsung DLP 43" TV.....just out of warranty!   It started acting strange last week, now it won't turn on.  I have to unplug the power cord then plug it back in....it turns on perfect good picture no problems .......for about three minutes!  Then it shuts off and won't turn back on until I unplug the power cord and plug it back in......then it goes through the same scenario over and over....until i get tired of getting up.

Any idea what this could be?  It worries me that I have been seeing so many other people having problems with their Samsung DLP sets....although not the same symptoms.

I've had Hitachi and Sony Tv sets for over ten years without issues.....Are these Samsung DLP Tv sets a bad design not worth repairing?

Any idea of what could be causing this problem....thanks for any help.

This problem could be the main power board, or I have had the DMD board be bad as well to cause this problem. The problem is, it needs to be isolated, and sometimes the only way is to trouble shoot the board to see if they are working or by substitution of the suspected board. Problem is, these boards are very expensive, and you cannot return them if you pick the wrong board. Thats why an authorized Samsung repair center is the right place to call to assist you in this repair. These sets are not easy to repair like they used to be. Totally different technology. Good Luck
