Panasonic TV CT-27D10B just recently quit displaying video and sound does not work. I have schematics but do not understand where to look first in the maze of circuitry. Connections on the back, front & S-video do not respond. Your help appreciated

Post your schematic diagram we will try to help you
Rusa, you cannot post the schematic here. Now to Spence, If you do not know what each circuit is, where it is located or how each circuit works and if you do not understand how to read a schematic, or follow circuit flow through a schematic, you should play it safe and call out a pro to assist you with this repair. there is a lot of high voltage inside these things that can kill you, even when they are not plugged in. You cannot learn to do this overnight or even in a weeks time. I know people in this field for 40 years and still have trouble repairing some of these new solid state TV sets. Good Luck
Thanks for the reply. With as little information as I gave you I would have said the same thing. I am very much aware of the high voltage and this is not a playground. Normally I would have not attempted to do this but we are retired live on an island in Fiji and Fiji does not have Panasonic repairman. The problem I am have is knowing where to look for the problem stated. The CRT illuminates snowy, but does not react to any activated video jacks input and there is no sound. I suspect there is a common point that might affect both. High voltage is there and there are no signs of over heating. All of the board circits on top and the bottom side are clean and showing no signs of heat. This maybe multiple issues, but my suspicion is there is a common link between both that has caused the fault. Looking at both block diagrams the only common denominator I have found is IC3001 A/V SW, M52790SP, but I am not sure this is problem. If it is, is there a resistence test to determine it is my problem. Thanks for your help. Spence
Ok that is exactly where you need to look. The set is not switching between the AV and the tuner it seems. Now there could be a missing voltage on the AV input board.
If someone has a Schematic for Panasonic TV (circa 1999) I would appreciate a copy emailed to me if possible? [email protected] I pulled the board out to clean the VCR/Combo unit and a black wire came off the board this wire is connected to the High Voltage circuit of the tube. Would like to know where it goes?
Rus or Larry,
I have verified the chip M52790SP has too much vdc going through most of the pins. Pin #1 is within the 5v-9v range, but others are not. Does that mean the chip is bad or something else is causing the problem?
Also, the last time I worked on TV's was for my parents and those were the "tube" days.
I am old but just don't want to pitch the set if the problem is a chip. The effort is worth it and besides I would have to haul 55 miles by boat to deposit into a land fill.
Your help is appreciated - Spencer
Do you have a paper schematic, or a pdf ?
