Depending on how much printed

Depending on how much printed circuit board repair experience, you may be able to repair this TV set yourself.  You could have a problem with the DM board with this TV set.  It is the problem out of 60% of the sets with these symptoms.  If you can follow directions and solder on a small printed circuit board, this is a repair for you, BUT if you have no technical or soldering experience, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you in this repair. If you think you can handle this repair, leave a response saying so and your e-mail address where you would like the directions sent for your TV set.

Sorry, That set does not have

Sorry, That set does not have a DM board to repair. Does the set have any sound? If not, then you have a typical Mitsubishi power supply problem. Most likely the main power supply. You will need to get the service manual and trouble shoot the power supply circuit. If you have no solid state repair experience, play it safe and call in a pro to assist you with this repair.

To whoever can advise me with

To whoever can advise me with this problem.  I bought a WD65732 Mitsubishi rear projection TV in November of "06" and Sunday night it just turned itsef off.  I unplugged it for a minute, plugged it back in, and the tv came back on, and I finished watching the basketball game.  Ahh, but the next morning when I went to turn it back on, I received no picture, but I did have audio.  Tried the unplugging it, and plugging it back in routine, but this time I got no video, and no audio.  The tv sounds as if it's going to start up, I can hear the fans kick in, and the green light starts blinking, but then it just shuts itself off.  I remember receiving a letter/notification about a thermal sensor issue, and that they'd (Mitsubishi) would extend my warranty an additonal two years.  I called them up, and they seemed almost bored with my inquiries into what could be wrong with my set.  They basically told me your SOL, unless it was actually the thermal sensor, and a service tech would have to come out to see if that was actually the problem.  If not, I have to eat the $200. dollar service visit.

I spoke to the main guy, and he tried telling me to just bring it in.  No big deal, it's only a 65" TV, and his shop is only 15 miles away.  I explained what was going on, and his basic response was that his tech can't trouble shoot the problem in my home, so I'm a little hesitant about what to do.  I've read several blogs about this very same problem, and there seems to be a lot of possiblities.  My main concern is basically buying the TV twice in repair costs.  And ofcourse my warranty is 6 months past the expiration.  If anybody might have some good advice on how to proceed, please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected].  I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.  Thanks.

 Sincerely,

I have a mitsubishi VS-5052.

I have a mitsubishi VS-5052. The TV used to click several times after pushing the power button, then turn on, recently though, it clicks only once when I push the power button and the TV does not turn on anymore. It does click once after I unplug and plug in the TV, but does not turn on. I think it is a power supply, can anyone help with this?

sorry but this model does not

sorry but this model does not have the capacitor problem in the DM, as there is no DM inside this beast. You will need to troubleshoot the power supply first. I do not have a manual for this set as well.

sorry but this model does not have the capacitor problem in the DM, as there is no DM inside this beast. You will need to troubleshoot the power supply and or convergence circuits first. I I am not sure if I have any service info on this set but I just received a bunch of older Mitsubishi stuff, so I will look and see what or if I have any info for this model number. BUT I will need an E-Mail address to send you anything.Make sure you mention the model number again. Do you see a chassis number on the set anywhere?
