Help with Samsung PCN5425R

I have owned my projection tv since 2003 and have just purchased the samsung Convergence moduler that was advised by the online service tech at samsung.  The only thing is I dont know where it is located and nothing on my tv looks like it. The problem I am having with my tv is that I can correct the Red convergence with the remote; however the blue does not work at all.. That is why he asked that I order the convergernce moduler.  When I received it they said that they have upgraded the moduler.  after reading others with the same problem I am sceptical on if this is the correct one.  They are saying that the new item number is BP95-00224A.  Please help....

Ok after a little research, I

Ok after a little research, I found out that the board you received from Samsung is a replacement board for the original number BP95-0000415B WITHOUT the STK392-40 convergence amp. IC's!  This is why the board does not look like the board inside your TV set.  You have two options at this point.  You can order the two convergence amp IC's at 63 bucks a piece, solder them into the new board and hope you do not need any alignments, or you can return the board, call PTS electronics, at 1-800-844-7871, give them the board number of the original board ( I just listed it before for you), and order a complete overhauled and tested board that you should be able to recognize to replace.  Now there might be some alignments you may have to do, so without the proper jigs, the service manual, and the proper tools, you still might have to call out an authorized Samsung repair shop to assist you in the final alignment of your set.   A new board will not always get the perfect focus and edge alignments aligned perfectly.  Hope this Information helps you and Good Luck with your project.  Let us know what it took for you to fix your TV set.
