I am having the above TV. After switching ON , the relay latches & un latch immediately. The Stand-by / timer LED blinks Continuously for 12 times & after a gap of 3 seconds it blinks 2 times. Then it continues this pattern 2 blinks 3 seconds gap & so on. Can someone can throw some light on this?
The two blinks on this set means there is an OCP fault. That means over current protection. This could be cause by almost anything in the TV set. I have found that most of the time, the horizontal output transistor or the vertical output IC has shorted. This is not a repair that should be attempted by a novice. The best way to troubleshoot this set would be to acquire a service manual and start where I suggested. If you have no solid state repair experience, play it safe and call in a trained authorized Sony repair tech to assist you in this repair. Good Luck, and let us know what was done to fix this TV set.

Thks a lot. I am having some exp. in T.v repairs. I have checked the the board " A " &" GK" reflowed allmost all joints.. I have disconnected all the connectios from GK to A, board except " stand-by-7.5 V ,relay,etc " ( 7 pins) connector. In " GK" board i am getting 8.5 volts on the above connecter. I have replaced Q 502. & IC 702 in " C " board. 100 watt bulb connected after removing fuse , becomes bright when power relay latches on. the bulb goes ON & OFF as per relay. I am using digital Multimeter.
All connections from "A " board to other boards are disconnected except ' Stand-by" to "GK" board.
I am unable to locate the short . I am having the Service manual with me.
Pl help me.

The connector has got 6 pins & not 7 as i mentioned before.
