I have a Nexxtech Slimline DVD player about 2 years old and recently lost the remote. I attempted to program my Dish Network remote to control the DVD player, but the Dish Network book did not have a code for Nexxtech, so I used the scan code feature. Now my DVD player will only play DVDs that do not have a region code. No Region 1 DVDs will play. I have tried the DVDs in other players and they play fine. I believe that I accidently changed the region code of the DVD player and have been looking for a way to reset the region code to region 1.

Nexxtech is one of the house brands of Circuit City, so that would probably be the best place to start. Documentation and information on these off brands is tough to come by, so I woulnd't expect much floating around on the web.
