So it has only been two months or so since we shelled out 500.00 to fix our Mitsubisi big screen HDTV, we are now having another problem with the TV.
One day when turing on the TV I noticed what appeared to be a kinda like static line running down one side of the screen, very small yet it ran the whole length of the TV everything else was okay, no color problems, convergence seemed okay still. (that was the 500.00)
I unplugged everything for a while thinking maybe something needed to be reset (I have no clue), It has been about a week and now the one line has turned into three and when you push the "guide" button on the remote (we have sat.) the static seems to shadow the image of the guide box.
This problem is non existant when we are running the dvd player. picture is great!
Please help me!!
Thanks so much!
Your problem is a bad tuner in the TV set, a bad tuner control circuit, or a bad cable or satillite receiver if you use one. The best way to get around this problem would be to hook up a VCR to the video inputs, and run the cable through the VCR. If it happens when you do this, then the problem is in your input source. Good Luck and let us know how you make out with this TV set.
Thanks so much! I will try this when I get the kiddo's to bed and let you know how I make out.
Thanks!
Okay, so I got the littlest one down for a nap and decided to move the TV, and check things out, make sure I knew how to plug the VCR in and all...screwed in all the cable wires and other wires (??) good, vacumed back there because there were just a few dust bunnies, turned on the TV and POOF...NO LINES!!! NO STATIC!!! AMAZING!!!
THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP!!
Really happy it worked out for you my friend, At least now you know where your problem lies and a way to over come the problem..
