The picture tube in my television that controls the red, green and blue light frequencies is busted. The TV is only 4-5 years old, rarely used and is already broken. The repair estimate is about ($1200). Does anyone know if I can buy a new Sony power tube directly online. Please respond back with any applicable advice. Thank you for all your help.
I need to know what the complaint on the TV set, as my friend there is not a picture tube that controls the red, green, and blue lights.. Does your picture look like it is 3-D? Do you have picture and sound but the set will not adjust? Also how much TV experience do you have?

I know it has been a while since anyone has posted on this thread however you are describing the issues my Sony KP57ws500 is having. 3D effect happening.
When it is turned on you can see the 3 different colors. Kinda looks like 3d! ;) when I try to focus it sometimes is works in like 2 seconds and other times takes upward of 15-20 seconds and usually doesn't fix the picture. I have tried resetting the tv and manual convergance but no luck. It seems like it wants to do things on it's own. Often while watching the tv the colors will just move on their own.
Any help would be great!
