I just picked up a 65" rear projection tv with one problem....someone shot a bullet through it. As far as I can tell it works fine....it just needs a new mirror and plastic front screen. Are these just ordinary mirrors? The one in it was double sided.....any information would be helpful. Thanks.
No, they are not plain simple mirror my friend. The mirrors in this set has the reflective coating on the surface of the glass and some do have the coating on both sides. I have seen the results of someone installing a regular mirror. The picture has alot of reflective glare and shadows. The picture is there it just does not look good. You may be able to get a mirror like this from a local glass & mirror place. The screen is a differant thing. You will need to contact a Toshiba parts depot on availability and cost.
