HELP ME MR. WIZARD!!!!!!
I have a 35 inch Mitsubishi, model numberCS35601. It was made in 1994. Yes it's a dinosaur in todays market. However it worked great until we had a power outage. We smelled something so we immediately unplugged the set. After power was restored i plugged the set back in and turned it on.
It powered up but quickly started to self destruct. I turned it off and then saw smoke coming out of the back. It actually smelled like fish. That smelly! I opened up the set and found that you can pull the whole board assy's out of place to see whats wrong.
There are 2 main circuit boards as you pull out the assy. The main board on the right side side is fryed. It looks like some resistors and capacitors as well as the board took the hit. I can't find anywhere to get a price on that board.
Is it still available? Is the set worth fixing? Is it servicable? Can someone out there in this huge cyber planet answer these questions or be of some help. I would GREATLY appreciate it.
