There is not really alot I'm afraid that you can do, as the set most likely has bad capacitors on the printed circuit board in the sweep power supply. This set could also have the small surface mounted capacitors going bad on the picture in picture board if this set has that function. This is common for this type of set. You will need to get a schematic of this TV set and have an ESR type capacitor checker and do a check of every capacitor in the power supply as well as in the sweep power supply at all of the voltage sources. This problem will most likely get worse with time. Good Luck and let us know what the outcome of this repair was.
