it needs to be repaired, it was hit and has a spot that causes lines going up and down and left and right from the impact area, when the tv is on it shows a star like area similar to damage a rock would do to a windshield, when the tv is off there is no visible damage. I want to see if I can fix it.

Your LCD panel is damaged beyond repair. The panel will have to be replaced. Very expensive regardless of size of panel or manufacturer.
Does this mean that it would be less expensive to get a new one? How expensive to get a new 32" panel (appromimately) Thanks for your reply.
