Hello,
I am hoping that you can help me figure out what is wrong
with this TV. It is a JVC AV-36890. The first symptom was that the TV
would shut itself off intermittantly for no apparent reason. Now the TV will not
power up at all. I have replaced the 1000uf35w because I thought that it might have been bad.
I'm not completely positive that it is installed properly, but I'm
pretty sure. I also installed a 1000uf 50w not the 35w. We just heated the existing solder and removed the old capacitor. Then we put in the new one......hopefully in the correct way. The replacement had one wire on each end rather than both wires on the same end like the 35w original capacitor did. We only resoldered the bottom and did no soldering on the top of the board. If there is
anything else that you think I can try I would sincerely appreciate
it!
