Samsung LNS-3241D rRed and Blue Vertical lines?

Yesterday I purchased a Samsung LNS-3241D 32 inch LCD. Shipment from Amazon. The box appeared to be as if one picked it up at a store.
After setting it up I noticed that it has a vertical red 'line' that is visible on the right side of the screen and a vertical blue 'line' on the left side of the screen. The basic picture shows OK.
I played a DVD movie and it still shows the 'lines'. I also did a auto channel program search, and during that process the 'lines' still could be seen.
I do not have digital channel HD service. This LCD does not do a very good job in displaying regular cable channels. My prior Panasonic 26inch LCD did a much better job in displaying the regular cable channels.
I can return this unit to Amazon and ask for a replacement, or I can get a refund. This unit cost $920 at Amazon.
Does anyone have a better recommendation than this 32inch LCD Samsung LNS-3241D unit?
Or, is this a defect, and not something that is common on a Samung LCD?
Any comments as to what the red and blue 'lines' are would be appreciated.

There is a problem with the main board, or the connectors from the main board going to the dusplay panel, or the connectors on the LCD display panel or the display is bad.  Pack it up, send it back, as this could be an expensive repair.  Good Luck, and let us know if you get another set and if it works good.

Thanks Larry for your comments.

I have scheduled for someone at Amazon; the 'hardline' division to call me for a pickup of the LCD, and a Replacement LCD.

I am not hopeful that this will be a speedy transaction, due to the holiday coming up.

Have a good one.

Oh dont be so sure, I ordered a DVD on December 22 and recieved it without special postage, just normal ground shipping on the 26th.  I was very surprised to say the least.
