This sounds like a bad filter capacitor, or the main standby transformer has loose laminates on the core. If you mute the sound, does the the hum still come out of the speakers? Does it come from the set itself? If this is a filter problem, this could oneday cause a major breakdown. I would highly advise you to seek out a servicer for this set, as it should still be under warranty if you purchaced the set when it was new.
