I have a plasma tv model 42mf230a/37 .So the tv now has a mind of it's own when you turn it on you get no picture or sound .You can hear it coming on the indicator light goes from red to blue then you can't turn it off with the remote or the off button. If you unplug it same thing all over again. So I call repairman comes in plugs tv in turns it on without checking anything else says the PSPC Board needs replaced so what does this panel do?
Thats the Power Supply Printed Circuit board. This controls all of the power sources that get distributed around the differant circuits inside the TV set. On most plasma sets the tech does not repair the boards down to componet level unless they know of a common fault that the board has. MosT plasma service manuals or schematics do not even have a good circuit diagram to repair the boards. Now I'm not saying it cannot be repaired to componet level, but most repair persons do not. Good Luck, and let know how this turns out.
