I'm having an intermittent problem: Trying to turn TV on, the green light comes on with a click sound then immediately goes out with no picture ever appearing. At other times, TV comes on with no problem. When I am having a problem, I unplug the TV for at least 30 minutes, then plug it back in. I wait at least another 30 minutes before trying to turn it on. Sometimes that works, sometimes nothing seems to work and then it will just turn on like nothing was ever wrong. Any ideas as to what part might be faulty?
Most likly bad solder connections in the sweep section or the power supply. if your handy and know how to solder printed circuit board, and and know about the HIgh Voltage inside of a TV set, then you should be able to locate a bad solder connection with a wooden dowl or spoon, by tapping lightly on the Printed circuirt board while the set is turned on. if you have no TV repair experience or no knowlege of how circuits work, pleas play it safe and call in a tech to assist you in this repair. if it is jusy a bad connection, the longer you let it go the more of a chance that it will grow into a major repair.
