My Sharp model PIP/MTS turns off about 2 seconds after I turn it on. I unplugged it for a while and now it seems to be okay. Anyone have any suggestions?
Your microprocessor, or the brains of the TV set, sometimes needs to be reset, as it can become scrambled and confused, kinda like me sometimes.. Also a power surge could mess up the power supply by bclitching the regulator IC, If it happens alot, I would recomend that you have the power regulator replaced before it causes any damage to the power circuit. Did I already reset the microprocessor by unplugging the TV and letting it set for a while? Or, is there something else I have to do to reset the microprocessor?
Also, I just moved the TV from upstairs to the basement. Could that have caused the problem?
My uncle had a similar problem with his sharp LED 600 model, when he turned it on it turned itself off again, the technician came out, switched it on and it worked, he said there are two power switches on the tv, whichever one you switch off with, it renders the other useless, so someone had turned it off by a switch that my uncle didnt know was there, as it was on the other side of the set, which meant the button he normally used wouldnt function, all sorted now but does anyone know why they would put two switches on and make them work in this way?
