Hello...hope someone can help. We purchased the Element 32" TV, model #FLX-3202 from Home Depot (someone told me it is actually made by Panasonic?). We hooked it up to the RCA Home Theater model # RTD258 (5 disc changer, 5 speakers, etc from Target). When watching regular TV, the sound does not come out of the home theater speakers, only out of the TV built in speaker (which is pretty lousy). When playing a CD or watching a DVD, the sound is no problem and comes out of the home theater speakers. The red and white audio cables are in the back of the TV in the "audio out" jacks and go into the RCA into the audio jacks labeled "Aux 1" and the unit is on "Aux 1". Is there some easy fix? Should we be using the yellow coaxial cable to hook the TV up to the RCA? We current have the two connected with the red, green, blue cable...it know it has a name but I can't think of it right now. Any help would be appreciated!
check tv menu for audio ot put options choose variable out or similar
I've got the same problem. DVDs work fine. No audio into the home theater speakers from the TV. It's an RCA RTD-215 home theater system and a Polaroid FLM-2632. I've been in the audio setup on the television and I do not see anything that will help this problem. I called both RCA and Polaroid and they blame each other. I noticed several other people on this site with the same situation. Any help is appreciated. I have standard cable. No box, no digital. I only have connected right now the yellow cable for the video. I disconnected the Red, Green, Blue cable. I've tried everything. I even went out and bought a new red/white audio cable thinking it might be a bad cable.
My television audio options are: Sound effects (Live/Dance/Techno/Etc. and Off) and MTS (Mono, Stereo, SAP) and your regular base, treble, etc.
Thanks for any and all help.
