I have recently had the following prblem with my Sharp 28 LF 92H television. When turned on the screen shows a green circle in the middle of the screen with a blue/red halo around the edges. The sound etc works ok and apart from the picture the TV is fine !! Any ideas

I have the same problem, I suspect it is something to do with the degauss coil. I recently started switching off the tv by the mains switch, the degauss cct only comes on when you switch it on and off by the mains. Leave the damn thing in stby in future, I thought I was saving the energy used by stby power to save the planet. I came home tonight and the tv made a strange noise and the screen comes on just as you have described. Keep me posted, ditto of course.

Have been in contact with Sharp as only had the TV two years and this is second time it has gone u/s. I shall await their reply !!
Cost £68 to get repaired, lost £10 on first attempt by a visiting tv engineer. Sharp approved tv shop did it in a few hours. Watch this space, good luck.
