We have a portable Emerson tv, model ECR1350. Is there a way to changeout the tuner chip to increase the number of viewing channels?
Thanks in advance for any information that you are able to provide... Take care and have a pleasant day!

Not unless you want to redesign and reprogram the microprocessor firmware, as thats where all the tuning voltages are regulated from.
Thanks Larry for the quick response... It is most appreciated.
You could get a set top box to tune in other channels, but would be about half the cost of a shiny new TV set.
Larry,
I saw your reply and would like a clarification, please? The TV says that it is 110 channel cable compatible. Mine receives 1-36 and then jumps to 95. Is there no way to get the interim channels without a cable box?
It doesn't seem logical that it would only go to 36 and then jump up to 95. I could see if it didn't go above 36.
I hope I can figure something out as it is a nice little TV.
Thanks for any help.
LabRat, Thats the way for the manufacturers to suck people into buying their TV sets. It is really 13 VHF channels, 70 UHF channels, and then 37 cable channels. That all adds up to 110.
