HELP ME PLEASE!!! Parents out of town until Sat. the 30th. I tried to fix convergance and lost entire set-up. Only have blue screen and message saying channel not available. I believe parents have digital cable. Wires from outside go to a motorola box.
Also, the convergance screen will not align the red lines up on the extreme right or left. The middle is fine. What do I do???
You say a blue screen? That's an indication that there is no signal going into the TV set, or the TV is set on the wrong antenna input, or the wrong channel. Now the problem with the convergence is most likly the convergence IC's are bad. This is a common problem with rear projection sets and I highly doubt if you had anything to do with that going bad. This is a solid state set and there are no user replaceable parts inside, and should only be serviced by a trained service person. Good Luck and let us know how you made out.
I have a friend with a WS55909 with a blinking light. The repair place told her to hold 2 buttons down and the light flashes 2x. He then told her $500 for the service call and parts. Does this sound like the problem with the DM board? If so could you email instructions to upnorth1969 at yahoo.com? Or any other tips you think would be applicable? Thanks.
