stuck pixels (Toshiba 20AF43)

I have a Toshiba 20AF43 TV (standard CRT flatscreen) that I purchased in late 2003, which was working great until recently. The screen has developed a 4x4 cluster of stuck pixels in the upper right hand corner of the screen. These pixels are located just below the channel number and label, and are the same bright turquoise color as the text. They remain stuck on even once the channel number and label have disappeared. However, if I mute the sound or go to the control menus the blue spot disappears and the picture displays normally (i.e. the pixels are not dead or burned-in).

I have tried restoring the factory settings and clearing all the channel labels and changing the display settings in the menus, all to no avail. I have also unplugged the TV and left it off for several days, then plugged it back in again. I can't seem to find any information in the manual on this problem. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

 Are you using the original

Are you using the original remote control or is it a replacement. If its a replacement your going to need to get an original as theres a button on it that will get rid of this display box. I dont remeber what the heck it was called ,hHHHMMM Its something to do if I remeber with one of the buttons on the bottom part. The originals only like 24 bucks or so from http://www.remotes.com  You could also have a problem in the display circuit , but unfortanatly, thats all part of the microprocessor IC and probably would'nt pay to have this fixed. Let us know what you find. Good Luck
