Problems with proper connections on a Panasonic
DMR-ES10 to accept channel setup. The items include a cable box and a vcr and tv. The DVR won't accept standard channels up to 125 from the cable box. What is the connection sequence supposed to be???

Channel setup on DVR ??
I think part of your confusion is the "won't accept standard channels up to 125 from the cable box" comment. If you're using a cable box, it will tune the station and then output that signal on Coax over channel 3 or 4, or through a line level output. If you want to use the tuner built in to the DMR-ES10, then you'll need to connect the DMR to the raw cable line, and not the cable box. I'm going to assume that you have a cable box because you have a digital cable package, so if you don't connect the cable box to the DMR, you won't be able to record anything beyond the analog 125 channels.
There are many ways you could tackle this, but method will get you hooked up with an emphasis on image performance. Without more info about the other hardware you have, I cannot be 100% certain you have the inputs/outputs on all of your devices to support this config. In any case, it should at least help get you back on track.
Wall to 3 way coax splitter
-splitter to cable box, cable box out to TV in with line level connection (yellow, red, white, S-Vid, etc.), cable box out to DMR in via RF, DMRES10 out to TV via line level.
-Splitter to TV RF in (skip this if your TV does not have enough inputs to support the cable box, DMR, and VCR.)
-Splitter to VCR in, VCR out to TV in with line level.
Good luck.
Thanks, you were correct. Problem was I needed an RF con in from splitter before cable box to RF in fitting on DVR. Now problem is how to schedule scrambled channels to record on DVR where the channel numbers are higher than 125. TV is standard definition with all the necessary inputs.
Thanks again...
If you run the line level out of the cable box to the input on the ES10, you can set your ES10 to record "input 2" (for example) at the designated time. Just make sure your cable box is set to the right channel before you walk away.
