We have the Toshiba Theaterview HD TV - have had it about 3 years. Last week a "half moon" shape in hues of blue/yellow developed at the bottom of the TV - it is slowly progressing upward. Can you advise us if this is a "fixable" problem at a reasonable cost; or should we simply invest in a new large screen tv?

I'm not getting what you mean by "activate HD". Can you be more specific about what you want to do? Can you provide the model number of the TV?
