Thank god I found this site. I had this problem back in November for a week, let the tv stay blinking and one day it just stopped on its own and the tv worked. Two days ago it happened again and have the blinking green light once again. Your a good man sending this fix to everybody and would be thankful if you could send it to me. [email protected]
Larry Dillon said: If you are handy, and can solder, you may be able to save about 700 bucks if not more. There is a very common problem with these Mitsubishi TV sets. There is a digital board inside these puppies called the DM board. A lot of times there are four capacitors that go bad inside of these TV sets. Sometimes, depending on how bad the capacitors are, and if the capacitors did not blow out anything else on the Dm board, you can simply replace these four capacitors and this will fix your TV set. The average that this works on is about 65 to 70 % of the sets can be repaired with this fix. The others are power supply issues or the DM board has other issues. If you would like to attempt to repair your TV set, I will send you the instructions on how to do so. If you do not know how to solder well, do not attempt to replace the capacitors yourself. Pay a pro to do this for you. After all you are already saving a bundle of cash. Leave an e-mail address, and I will forward you the fix with and without the light engine. And if the capacitors inside the board are not swollen on the tops, as the direction shows you what they look like, the capacitors are most likely not your problem.
Larry thank you for your assistance with the infamous flashing green light. I too have the Mitsubshi WS-65713. Would you please forward the fix, schematic and any other info you may have outside of the owners manual to me? My email address is [email protected] Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation. You truly are a life/$$$ saver!!!
I am having the same problem with the blinking light on my 4 year old MITS ws-65513 If you would please email me the fix and info thanks [email protected]
Larry Dillon said: tas and Glen, I will be sending out the info you need to repair your TV set a little later this morning. Good Luck with the repairs.
Larry, again thank you so much! Your info was even better than I expected with the Word document and supplier info you provided as well. I'll be back in touch with you soon per your request.
Larry Dillon said: That is not what caused this problem. The unit gets hot inside the metal case. I recommend that hi-temp capacitors are replaced with the old ones. And yes there are pictures and numbers to go by. Good Luck, and let us know how this repair works out for you. I am sending you the directions.
Larry, could you send me the info also. We've had extremely strong winds over the last couple of days and our power has been off and on repeatedly. Right now my Mits 65513 has decided to come back on, luckily. But I'm sure I'm living on borrowed time. Thanks in advance. I'm at [email protected]
I have a WD-52525 with the blinking green timer light. Reset and unplugging don't seem to help. Do you have a repair doc and factory manual for this model? Thanks so much!

I have a friend with a WS55909 with a blinking light. The repair place told her to hold 2 buttons down and the light flashes 2x. He then told her $500 for the service call and parts. Does this sound like the same problem with the DM board? If so could you email instructions to upnorth1969 at yahoo.com? Thanks.
I am one of the people with blinking green light. I have mitsubishi WS-55859 and I opened the set and found the DM power board and changed the 7 caps (they did not appear defective). also changed one of the surface mounted microfuses which was shorted and still no luck. still getting the blinking light.
would you please send me the manual to [email protected] and if you can give me some insight also appretiated.
To all who left a good e-mail address AND posted in the right thread, I have sent out the information. Come on people look at the model number in the heading of the thread! there are three different fixes for these buggers. Please post under the right thread and then you WILL receive the right documents.
Hey Larry I am a lucky mitsubishi 65513 owner. I have replaced the 4 caps and still cant power up. Would you please forward any help!!! [email protected]
Mike, Make triple sure that the DM is plugged all the way into the main board. I cannot count how many times I have seen peeps who replace the capacitors still have the blinking light and they have had the DM only partially plugged into the main board. Take out the DM board with the power disconnected. Take off the metal case around the DM. Plug in the DM into the main board making sure it is completely seated. Plug in the set and see if the green light goes out after a minute or so. If it does, unplug the set again and reinstall the metal case. and then replug in the TV set and after the light stops flashing, turn on the TV set. Also, while you have the DM board out of the TV set double check the small surfaced mounted fuses on the solder side of the DM board. They will be marked with yellow labeling on the board itself.

Ok I did all of that, except I'm not certain about the yellow fuses. Is there a diagram so i can triple check all connections? Also, is it possible to take the DM to a tv repair shop and have them look at, or do they need the tv to power it up?

The fuses are white and the marking on the board around the fuses is yellow.lThe DM cannot be repaired in the field if the capacitors do not fix it. Mitsubishi does not have any information about this board in the service manual. Check both fuses for continuity. This is a common fault that the bad capacitors cause. If they are good, you can contact ptscorp.com, get the telephone number and ask them if they will overhaul it for you. I think they charge 175 bucks to repair it. A new one is about 800 bucks. Check the fuses on the board first.
From day one I was suspicious about the power on system on my WS-65513. I passed it off as a very sensitive circuit protection. For the last several years my TV would shut off and blink randomly maybe once or twice a month. I thought our local power supply was uneven. Today I am unable to turn on the TV as it sits and blinks. It won't even come on if I unplug and reset. If this sounds like the same issue everyone else on this planet has with the TV, could you please send me the repair info as well. My email address is [email protected] .
