Greetings all!

Let me be the first to welcome you to Mind Over Matt'er, my personal technology blog where you'll be sure to find the latest insights, news, opinoin, grumblings, projects, and a whole lot more.

For those who don't know me, let me share a little about myself. I'm 26 years old, and reside in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I've logged over 10 years of expereince in the consumer electronics industry, and even more if you count the days of gadget tinkering and video games in my youth. Today I manage the TechLore website, along with SlingCommunity, DroboSpace, and the new Monster Community.

So what will you find here? Well... just about everything. I do some pretty nifty tech projects when I get bored, and often try to see what I can put together with older gadgets from yesteryear that I pick up used from friends, family, and yard sales (my "Garage Sale Spoils" will likely be a regular feature here, where I'll show off nifty things I pick up on the cheap).

I'll also chronicle my latest tech adventures, first starting with my latest phone purchase... and no, it's not the iPhone. Plus keep an eye out for my review of the Jawbone Bluetooth headset, which I just picked up last week. I'm still evaluating it, but it's shaking up to be quite a nice product, though I'll likely have a mix of positive and negative things to say.

No doubt you'll also want to keep up with my latest technology rants... things that irritate me about the world of tech, or just anything that rubs me the wrong way. Stay tuned for my opinion on the state of the common movie theater experience, which I'm calling "My Movie Theater Experience... sponsored by Cingular". I'm sure you can see where that's going.
