a) There is no need to have a zip file within a zip file, especially just for one doc or pdf file. This just makes it more work to unpack it on some systems.
b) You have it spelled Mitsubshi in one file (minor typo)
c) You have two copies of the Mitsubishi DM board repair.doc, one in the main directory and one in a subdirectory
d) What might be good is a brief overview, of the form, "Here are the things most likely to have gone wrong, and here is what's most likely, and here are the ones that are easiest and hardest to get at".
That way you can decide what to look at first, though the advice may be you might as well look at every capacitor. Another interesting question, can you measure capacitance while still on the board to confirm problems or quality? Obviously if you do this you will be measuring the sum of the capacitor and the circuit it is connected to, but if somebody takes readings on a board with brand new caps we may get a reading for that which can be used in answering this question.
Though it may be that in the end Mits used such sucky caps that you are wise to replace them anyway, even if they are good.
With Yahoo Mail, I cannot send a file over 20 meg without using pando or Zipping it. One DM board repair is for the DLP and the other is for another type of set but almost the same DM board, I send those solely for reference.
Sorry if this wasn't clear. I understand you want to zip up the files, what I meant is you have zip files within the master zip file. You don't need to that, you can have a zip file that just has the various .doc and .pdf files. What you have is a doc file inside a zip inside another zip, which does not improve the compression, just makes it more awkward to unpack. Thanks once again.

I have a Mitsubishi 55" model # WS-55511 with the blinking green death syndrome. Yesterday I attempted to turn on and NOTHING. Unplugged let sit no luck. If you you send me the instructions and pictures on how to remove DM Module and replace caps I would appreciate it. I am pretty handy and looking to save some money and my tv. Thanks Rob S
Larry Dillon said: DFWSBR. I sent you amm e-mail on this problem. Mike, I would be more then happy to help you buddie but I am not a mind reader, TO WHERE!?? would you like the info to be sent to?

ITS MIKE WAGNER 26 PLEASE CAN YOU DO ME A FAVOR I FORGOT MY PW AND CAN YOU SEND THE INFORMATION TO MY NEW EMAIL PLEASE AND THANK YOU ITS REGARDING( WD 52525 BLINKING GREEN LIGHT)
Can you please send me the doc/info on the repair? I have a different problem with a constant red light after the TV is turned on. From what I have been reading on the web, it maybe the capacitors on the power supply. Nevertheless, I think the repair info will help. Thanks in advance. [email protected]
Can someone also send me DOC's info for a WD-52525. My TV stays on for about 30 seconds and then turns off. I need to be able to see the connector to the Balast...to see about reseting it.
So Far I have taken my TV to the repair shop 3 times.
1) After I read around and told them that the problem was the capacitors and that I just needed them to diagnose the problem and that I would fix it myself, they started to charge me $480.00 to change out the power supply. Then the guy replaced the capacitors, and they charged me $325.00 for the labor...
2) I brought the TV home, watched it for maybe 8 hours, and then it shut off suddenly, and the red lamp light started blinking. I took it back ti the shop and they replaced the Thermister on it.
3) I brought it home dragged it back up stairs, and cut it back on...and after 1 minute, it cut back off... This was on Thursday... Feb 21, 2008.
Can someone please e-mail me a service manual to [email protected], or can you please e-mail it to my address in my profile... PLEASE...

Well, glad to know im not the only one w/ this problem.Symptoms seem to all be there. I know i can fix this myself if i can get to the board, i just need to know how to get to it first, i got to a point in dissasembling the TV where i can't see what the heck is holding on some components so i need to consult the service manual for help. Can someone please send it to me if available? thanks. My email is in my profile, i'd write it on here but i fear the spambots. =D, thanks again! Oh, btw my model is WD-52525
I am having this problem and have been resetting the tv for quite a long time and seems to have worked. Now I can't get it to work. the lamp light also recently came on with a solid red color. I reset and it is now just blinking. What do I do
Hey i have a 52525 also, i turn on the tv and i have no picture but can hear sound...i dont have it hooked up to cable or antenna so all that it is, is snow from the tv. The screen stays solid black. Now after about 1 minute the tv shuts off by itself and the lamp light indicator goes solid red. I also tried the error codes and it read 34 which i believe is lamp abnormality. Can you hep me out in which direction i should go in here...
I really do not know Mike, It could be bad capacitors in the power supply, the FMT board or maybe the DM board. There could be lots of tghings that could cause your problem but how in the world could I possibly send a fix to you? You did not let me know where your e-mail is? I am good , but come on man, I do not have a crystal ball.
Its all good man. I will see if the crystal ball has you in the future. MMM LOL yeppers. it says you are due to receive a fix for your TV set. BUT do not be disappointed man as more then 40% of these sets are way past the repair as the symptoms have been happening for a long time and the owners think the Tv has been fixing it's self. If that is the case, you will have multiple problems, as the repair documents will point you to most of them. GOOD LUCK!!
Hi Larry, I, like the many who come here in droves for your help, would like the green blinking light/cap repair info, thanks very much, take care. [email protected]
Larry Dillon said: NO, this is not the DM board. The DM board is encased in a shield. It is surrounded by a metal casing. Did you not receive the documents as well as the service manual to help you repair your TV set? Did you ask for them? Are you assuming the problem? Why don't we start from the beginning and you start out by telling me what the symptoms are, exactly please to the littlest detail, of your TV set. What have you done to try and correct this problem?
Hi, Would you be able to e-mail me the instructions at [email protected]
No problem bradtem, I have sent out that repair information for your TV set. There are several things to this model of TV set. Good Luck.
Thanks for the files.

No I haven't. Just wanted to make sure that's where I start. Where's the best place to buy a lamp?
I would buy an original, http://www.mitsuparts.com/?mid=136839
