ws65711 - convergence

horizontal hour glassed red and green picture. after reading on this site, it appears to be my convergent chips. I'm not a tech but am mechanical. the $425.00 i was quoted over the phone is a lot of cash these days. so, is it reasonable to think i can order the chips from mitsu, remove the board and take it to a tech for soldering'/ or solder the damn thing myself? if so, where are the chips, which board is it. didn't get a reply on last thread. come you guys, help me out please!
