yesterday it was workin iv probably pressed something on de remote accidently i have checked dat it isnt on mute and its on the right settins which it is any reasons would you suggest are the reason for this? thanks emma xx

A few things to try:
Is the sound muted?
Is the volume up?
Have you selected an alternate audio track on the disc?
Did you disable the analog output on the DVD player (some players turn off the analog out if the digital output is engaged)?
Did you turn off the TV speakers in the menu (some TVs have this option)?
Does the DVD player have its own volume control (doubtful, but not impossible)?
Try those ideas and post back.
