Pioneer deh-p4600mp problem

I have a pioneer deh-p4600mp and I am experiencing problems with the face unit lights, if you touch face plate while playing all lights go out. It just blacks out. With in a few seconds everything comes back on until you touch it again. I have tried cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, I even put a little bit of dialectric grease on the contact points nothing seems to help. Are there any known issues with this unit or am I missing something?
