Later today, TiVo’s new mobile site m.tivo.com will launch. This Mobui-designed destination is pretty much handset-agnostic - enabling TiVo subscribers to schedule recordings from a variety of devices. m.tivo.com joins the $2/mo Verizon Java app and forthcoming Blackberry software in rounding out TiVo’s mobile scheduling services. While I’m still not completely sold on the concept of mobile scheduling, Verizon FiOS TV is taking it to another level later this year with two-way DVR interactivity… Not only can you schedule, you can see what’s already scheduled, set reminders, block channels, and search by voice. At the end of the day, though, I’m more likely to send myself an email reminder from a phone and schedule a recording later from a full-on computer web browser.
