i have been buying a lot of bad  blank dvd media by mistake.  what brands are best for movies?  and what does it mean when it say that they are branded? don

Hope someone in NY can help me.  I currently have Time Warner cable and have so for many years.  I recently purchased a small sharp lcd tv for a small room.  We conected all cable wires to the new tv from the old one in the living room ...however, I cannot recieve the channels I get in the livingroom ...with the cable box.....(just basic cable).  Spoke to time warner and was told I need to purchase another box...for the smaller room....

i recently posted eariler, that my dvd burning had slowed way down, i followed matts instruction and downloaded dvdfab, and reset dma, it is doing fine now. it takes only about 8 to 10 min to burn dvds. If this happens again can i repeat this process? also what is the top brands blank dvds to buy, to prevent this problem from happening again. thanks   don

pioneer dv 578a

Hello,

I have a DVD pioneer dv 578a.  It's probably 3 years old now.  Recently it has just started turning itself on and off.  Has anyone who has this unit experienced the same problem? And, do you think it's worth getting repaired or buying a newer unit?

DVD cover door fell off

On a Sylvania (Funai) TV/DVD/VCR combo, the cover to the DVD fell off.  I am able to reinsert the pins so it stays, but it stays in the open (flipped down) position.  Seems like I might be missing a spring or something which pulls it closed.  Any way of finding out if I can fix this?
