Rca projection t.v.

Hi everyone, I have a neighbor who has a 52 inch RCA projection television that he wants to sell me for $400.00. I have seen it & it looks and works very well. Very good picture, color & sound. He says the only problem that it has is that every so often it begins to get a jittery & static type of picture [only for a few seconds to a couple of minutes]. The model is a P5273OCK Mfd in May of 1994. Does anyone have any familiarity with this model & any ideas as to what is causing the intermittent problem as I described? I have all of the original owners manual info as well as service records that show it being serviced as needed with no major problems previously. Any info is greatly appreciated as always. Eddie
