have a 5 year-old set that recently lost the red gun convergence, but, thanks to you guys, was able to fix the problem by replacing the board and redoing the convergence. anyway, everything looks ok except as i get further out from the center of the picture it loses its focus, or sharpness, or convergence. i noticed that while trying to converge, the convergence lines themselves in the bad area are much wider, and less focused, than the lines in the center of the screen.
not sure if this was also the case with the old board. all i know is that i had to do some severe adjusting of the convergence both, when i replaced the board, and again when i replaced the hd dvr. is this focus thing something that can be adjusted or, should i just be happy that i've gotten 5 years so far out of this set, wait till it dies, then buy another?
